After School Care sign-up for Session Three due 3/8
On Monday, March 29th the After School Care ("ASC") Session Three, running from March 29, 2009 – June 1, 2010, will be available to students who have been registered for the program. Please Note: April 2 is a 12:00 dismissal, and there will be NO ASC on that day. ASC is contracted and prepaid seasonally at the rate of $8.00 per hour. Pre-registration allows us to plan and staff the program appropriately.
ASC is located in the Technology Center and runs from 12:00 until 6:00 p.m. The phone number is (610) 444-8119, and Dawn Karwath will cover the afternoon with extra personnel as needed.
Due to safety, program and staffing issues, we must limit the amount of "Drop In" students we accommodate. Upland wants to be able to help families who need emergency or last minute care, but in order to do this without compromising the safety of other students it is imperative that we know how many students we will be responsible for at any given time. Dawn can be contacted by e-mail dkarwath@uplandcds.org or at the phone listed above in these instances. The hourly charge for this service is $13.00 per hour, which is billed to you.
All students should be picked up from the Tech Center. When picking up your child, you must check in with the ASC teacher for obvious safety reasons and also so that she can accurately track dismissal times. Please note that ASC closes promptly at 6:00 p.m. and a late fee of $1.00 per minute (per child) is charged for students remaining past their registered pick up time.
Kindly return the registration form (available HERE) and your check (payable to UCDS) to ASC by Monday, March 8th. As always, if you have any questions or need a schedule not offered, please let us know. Thank you!
Tag Day March 9
Student Council has called a Tag Day for Tuesday, March 9th. The cost to participate is $1.00 for tag day clothes, and an additional $1.00 to wear a hat. The money raised will benefit Operation Warm.
