Dear parents and students,

Thank you for visiting the Admissions page! I am thrilled you are interested in learning more about Upland Country Day School. Our admissions process is designed to inform prospective families about the Upland community and all that we have to offer.  I would like to hear about your hopes and aspirations as well as answer whatever questions you may have about the school.

At Upland we believe that each child is unique and learns in his or her own way. We also believe that
Open House Inviteeducation is not confined to the classroom. We look to educate the whole child in an effort to enrich each child’s life and to shape concerned, respectful and knowledgeable citizens. In requiring full participation from our students in academics, art and athletics we believe children gain confidence and learn an infinite amount about themselves and about the world around them. Education at Upland is not just about the numbers; it’s about helping each child find his/her own voice and identity.

We look for children who will take an active role in their learning and who are enthusiastic about taking part in all areas of school life. Through encouraging our kids to be fully involved here at school, they gain opportunities to be leaders. In fact, we have noticed that a large portion of Upland graduates become leaders in their next schools in a variety of areas of school life. Whether their opportunity to lead comes in the classroom, on the athletic field, in the art studio, on the stage or as part of a student organization or club, Upland graduates accept the responsibility and challenge that comes with wanting to make a difference.

Please don’t hesitate to call the Admissions Office if you have any questions about the admission or financial aid process. I look forward to welcoming you to campus and getting to know you. My job is to assist you with your school search; my hope is that together we will find that Upland is the right fit for your child.

Sincerely,
Joe Sailer
